If I sign up for an account with AutosByText.com, am I locked into a contract?
No. Accounts with PropertybyText.com are not contract-based, which means you are free to leave anytime after you sign up. We strongly suggest you use our service for at least a month before deciding to leave. Sometimes it takes a month or two to see the exceptional results our clients have grown to love.

Are there any hidden fees with AutosByText.com?
There are absolutely no hidden fees! We also have ZERO start-up fees or cancellation fees. There is also no fine print. The price you see is the price you get!

Will AutosByText.com provide me with a list of phone numbers to add on my list?
No. Thanks to our strict opt-in subscription policy, you’ll have to provide your own subscription contact information. All phone numbers MUST opt-in to your list before you can send them text messages.

Does AutosByText.com sell sign riders?
We do not sell sign riders. Users are responsible for their own artwork, supply, and production. But with that said; we do have special discounts that are given to our clients through exclusive partnerships with many online sign companies. You can access these discounts through our “Sign Discounts” section located within your account dashboard.

Is it mandatory to use sign riders?
This is optional. We suggest sign riders as one of the many marketing techniques you’ll use to display your property codes and short code. We also recommend using classified ads, direct mail, post cards and flyers. It’s very important to balance out your marketing techniques for a more successful marketing campaign.

If a buyer sends a text message to learn more about a vehicle, do I get the lead?
Absolutely! AutosByText.com sends you a lead notification email and/or text message every time someone sends you a text inquiry. Keep in mind, if you choose to receive text message alerts, each alert will cost one credit. Email alerts are always free! We’ll also forward you the buyers phone number so you can call them back whenever you want!

Are there a certain number of photos I can upload?
You are allowed to upload twenty photos to each vehicle listing. We recommend ten or less so they listing will load faster on the buyer’s mobile device.

Can I use virtual tour videos in my listings?
Our system does not host video files. But you can upload a video to YouTube and place a link right in your vehicle listing. When someone is viewing your listing, they can click the link and watch the virtual tour video right on their mobile device.

Can I add more vehicle codes than what my plan initially allows?
Every AutosByText.com plan comes with UNLIMITED system generated vehicle codes at no extra cost to you. If you choose to generate Custom Keyword Codes there will be a charge of $4.00 USD for each one.

How can I upgrade my plan?
It’s easy to do! Simply submit your request through the ‘Contact Us’ link in your dashboard and one of our support specialists will contact you to discuss upgrade options.

Is AutosByText.com spam?
NO WAY! Mobile marketing that utilizes SMS messaging is not spam. Our text messaging service requires users to opt-in to your list prior to receiving any text messages from our system. Each message also comes with a “Reply STOP to cancel” which allows your customers to opt-out anytime. Once they opt-out, the subscriber will no longer receive correspondence from you.

How can I change or cancel my account?
If you would like to cancel your account, you will need to submit a support ticket. We will handle your request in a timely manner.

What is an SMS?
SMS stands for short messaging service. It’s also the worldwide standard for text messaging between mobile phones.

Who can receive text messages?
Virtually anyone with a cell phone can receive or send text messages. Most carriers offer text messaging with their mobile phone plans or you can download free messaging apps that are widely available.

What exactly is a short code?
Short codes are unique five digit numbers to send messages to and it’s a lot like an URL. Combining a short code with a keyword creates a call-to-action response.

What is a keyword or vehicle code?
Keywords are specific numbers, letters or a combination of both. In our case, keywords (vehicle codes) are used to identify which vehicle a potential buyer is interested in. They will text a certain keyword (vehicle code) to ‘71441’ and receive the listing in a text message sent to their mobile device.

What does opt-in mean?
Opt-in means subscribing to a list. Users can opt-in by texting a short code and keyword. Users can also sign up by entering their phone number on a web-based form.

What does opt-out mean?
This means unsubscribing to the text message list they originally signed up for. Once opted-out, they will no longer receive correspondence from our system.

How long does it usually take customers to receive my text messages?
When someone sends a text message to your property code, they will receive the property listing within seconds. AutosByText.com is not responsible for any cell carrier delays which can occasionally happen.

Is there a limit on how many messages I can send?
It all depends on the plan you choose. Each plan comes with a set amount of text messages you can use each month. Read through each plan and sign up for the one you feel suits your needs. If for some reason you need to downgrade or upgrade your plan, just shoot us a quick support ticket and we’ll contact you to discuss your options.

What information does a potential buyer see when they send a text message?
It’s really all up to you! You’ll be creating the vehicle listings so you can show as much as you want. First, they will receive a basic text message with information about the vehicle (Price, mileage, Make, Model etc.). Included in that message will be a link to the detailed vehicle listing (landing page) website you created or an external link to a website that already contains your listing.

The AutosByText.com pages may include property photos, maps, detailed descriptions, “click-to-call” phone numbers and “touch-to-email” features which enable the buyers to contact you about the vehicle. If you already have a video tour of your vehicle on YouTube, you can insert the link on your landing page and the buyer can watch the video on their mobile device.
